THE VOID

My senior thesis, as I graduated from Montclair State University in 2021. It was featured at Yale Short Film Festival, as well as New York True Venture Film Festival in 2022, and can be seen in full on the CGBros YouTube Channel, a channel with over 4 million subscribers!

All the components of this short from the writing and directing to the modeling and animation was done by me - including the music in the background! It was a showcase of all the creative strengths I developed over my time as a student.

The story tackles a young man named Saed who creates a headset that lets him enter his own imagination, and gets addicted to escaping the real world to enter his own. The imaginary friends he develops within his world seem to become more and more lifelike with each session, until he sees them as nothing more than other people. It’s a concept I plan to flesh out even more in the future.
