SAED

Saed is an engineer who struggles to connect with other people. He builds things to escape his issues, and finds himself lost in a new invention he made to help permanently solve his loneliness issues; The Void.

The headset lets him enter and interact with his own imagination, getting lost in his own realities constructed in whatever way he pleases. It helps to alleviate his boredom, and opens his world up to a literal new realm of possibilities.

THE SUIT MAN

The Suit Man is Saed’s imaginary friend, and his main companion when inside the Void. He’s like an older brother to Saed; grumpy and aloof - but always watching out for Saed. Their “history” goes all the way back to Saed’s childhood, and that familiarity is what got Saed to think him up first.

Over the short time Saed has accompanied him in the Void, however, he’s noticed an increasing realness to the Suit Man’s thoughts and actions. Of all the characters within the Void, the Suit Man always seems to be a cut ahead in terms of wisdom and authenticity - to a somewhat scary extent.

And his presence in the Void is different to all the others as well, as he can sort of blip in and out of his own free will. The question would be whether he could even have his own free will, which is a question the Suit Man is anxiously awaiting an answer for as well.

RUBY

Ruby is Saed’s ex-fiance and someone he struggles to keep off his mind. Although he doesn’t like to speak about her, she seems to find a way to bleed into his mind every so often. The Ruby of the Void doesn’t really speak or move much, but instead guide Saed in a general direction - one that he never follows.

She always manifests herself in the Void in a sort of carnival-like setting surrounded by bright neon lights, wearing a deep blue dress. It’s a callback to the first time they had ever met - on their first date.

CARTMAN

Cartman doesn’t really do or provide much in the Void other than a place to relax and take a smoke break. He loves nothing more than to sit parked on the same bench for all eternity, taking in the view.

LOGGO

Long” + “Doggo” = Loggo. He extends out of a handy little briefcase and is perpetually happy. Loggo is one of Saed’s favorite companions mainly because he’s so simple. Sometimes all you need is something simple.
